PETALING JAYA: The 14-year-old suspect in the fatal stabbing of his 16-year-old female schoolmate has been remanded.
Police brought the suspect to the PJ Court Complex around 9am as the probe into yesterday's murder at the school in Bandar Utama continues.
The suspect will now be brought to the PJ district police headquarters.
Yesterday, it was reported that a 16-year-old student was stabbed to death at their school in Bandar Utama around 9.30am. The suspect, 14, was arrested.
Preliminary checks showed that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the body.
Police have seized two-edged weapons , believed to have been used in the murder.
Education Ministry director-general, Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad, said they were intensifying efforts to strengthen safety in schools. - NST
