The meteorological department says there was no tsunami threat to Malaysia.

PETALING JAYA: A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck Banda Sea in Indonesia early this morning.
The Malaysian meteorological department (MetMalaysia) said the earthquake occurred at 2.38am, Bernama reported.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located at 7.9° south and 127.8° east at a depth of 173km.
The area is 467km from Ambon, Indonesia, MetMalaysia director-general Mohd Hisham Mohd Anip said in a statement.
He said there was no tsunami threat to Malaysia. - FMT
