Kelana Jaya LRT, monorail, Kajang MRT hit by disruptions

 Power outage on tracks between the Kelana Jaya LRT line’s Glenmarie and Ara Damansara stations was resolved by 6.35pm.

Alternative train services have been activated following the power outage between the Kelana Jaya LRT line’s Glenmarie and Ara Damansara stations.

PETALING JAYA:

 The Kelana Jaya LRT, Kuala Lumpur monorail and Kajang MRT lines have been affected by service disruptions.

At 6.10pm, Rapid KL reported a power outage on the tracks between the Glenmarie and Ara Damansara LRT stations due to bad weather.

It said alternative public transport services had been activated for affected commuters.

At 6.35pm, Rapid KL announced that repair work was completed, service was restored, and the alternative services were discontinued.

“The schedule is being adjusted and train services will resume normal operations shortly. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience,” it said in a Facebook post.

Earlier, Rapid KL said a train was taken out of service on the KL monorail line, advising commuters to expect longer waiting times while a replacement train is brought into operation.

The Kajang MRT line also saw a train taken out of service at the Kwasa Sentral station about an hour ago, affecting frequency between the Kwasa Damansara and Kota Damansara stations.

In a later update, Rapid KL said train frequency on the Kajang MRT line was at five minutes. - FMT
