PETALING JAYA: Bukit Aman has announced the appointment of Aida Abdul Hamid as director of its integrity and standard compliance department (JIPS).
Aida was formerly deputy director (general and community policing) in the federal police’s crime prevention and community safety department.
She replaces former Penang police chief Hamzah Ahmad, who was appointed JIPS director in June last year.
In a statement, Bukit Aman said Suryani Sungit would replace Aida in her previous post. Suryani was previously a deputy director (standard compliance) in JIPS.
Redzuan Abd Hamid has meanwhile been promoted to director of Bukit Aman’s logistics and technology department. He was formerly a deputy director (technical and operations) in the same department. - FMT
