The Sarawak fire and rescue department says five other victims were sent to hospital for burn injuries.

The Sarawak fire and rescue department, in a statement, said there were six victims inside the house when the incident occurred.
The department received an emergency call about the incident at 3.02am, after which personnel from the Sri Aman fire and rescue station were dispatched to the scene.
“The fire involved a two-storey semi-permanent house that was completely destroyed in the blaze. The charred remains of one of the victims, a young boy, were found on the upper floor of the house.
“The victim’s body was later handed over to the police for further action,” it said, adding that a 41-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man also suffered burn injuries and were sent to Sri Aman Hospital.
