KUALA LUMPUR: A Jaecoo dealership has suspended a staff member after dashcam footage of an employee using profanities against a customer went viral.
Jaecoo Puchong - Icon Jco 3S said the employee was suspended pending an internal investigation.
The move followed a 1-minute-22-second video showing a staff member cursing at a customer over repeated complaints.
In the clip, the employee is heard using profanity multiple times, including after realising the dashcam was recording.
The footage also captured another staff member vaping inside the customer's vehicle before turning the dashcam off.
The incident sparked outrage online, with many condemning the unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour.
"It's going to be hard for them to get hired elsewhere now that this has gone viral. You brought this upon yourselves," said @IshaqOmar.
The dealership said it would take further disciplinary action once the probe concludes.
"Our management team has reached out to the customer to address the matter and ensure it is resolved," it said. - NST
