CLEAN energy solutions provider Gentari in collaboration with the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) has launched its first high-speed intercity electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at Petronas Penchala Link (Damansara-bound) to support growing EV adoption among Malaysian motorists.
The initiative underscores LLM’s role in enabling smoother intercity travel.
This upgrade enhances the existing 24kW charger with a 200kW DC fast charger equipped with three nozzles.
With this upgrade, charging time would be reduced by approximately 20 minutes, hence allowing users to gain more than 60% battery at a shorter stop.
As the only 200kW charger within a 5km radius, the facility improves access to high-speed charging along this key Klang Valley corridor.
All in all, the initiative reflects LLM’s strategic corridor planning and commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s highway infrastructure for the EV era.

Green mobility boost
Through close collaboration, Gentari and LLM are evolving highways from interstate connectors into critical intercity EV infrastructure by ensuring charging solutions are seamless, strategically placed and aligned with real-world travel demand.
Gentari currently operates more than 610 EV charging points across Malaysia.
Through the Gentari Go app, users can also access over 9,000 charging points via the Gentari Go Roaming Hub which connects drivers across Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand through partnerships with providers such as ChargeEV, JomCharge, DC Handal and Carputzap
As it is, Gentari is focused on delivering the solutions required to put clean energy into action today to transform how Malaysians live tomorrow.

Its three core pillars of renewable energy, hydrogen and green mobility form a comprehensive portfolio of solutions to help customers in their decarbonisation journey.
Its mission is to be the leading commercial and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale renewable energy developer, a scale hydrogen producer and go-to industry partner, and Asia Pacific’s leading green mobility solutions partner.
Gentari’s long term aim is to be the most valued clean energy solutions partner which is capable of creating greater impact by connecting businesses and making the journey to a net zero future possible. – Focus Malaysia
