JEMPOL: Police are investigating a viral clip showing a man allegedly stealing a woman's underwear from her home in Bahau.
District police chief Superintendent Norhisham Mustapar said a report was lodged at 2.21pm yesterday after a woman came across the video on social media.
"Preliminary police investigations found that the incident took place at a house occupied by the victim," he said.
He added that the suspect who stole the underwear is believed to be a man, but his identity has yet to be known.
"The suspect broke into the house by climbing over the fence before taking a piece of underwear that was hanging to dry outside the house," he said in a statement.
Norhisham urged anyone with information on the case or the suspect to come forward to assist police.
The case is being investigated under Section 447 of the Penal Code for criminal trespass. - NST
