Khuzairi Yahaya faces up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both, if convicted.

Khuzairi Yahaya, who pleaded not guilty yesterday to receiving RM50,000 in cash from the son of ex-Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin, was today charged with accepting RM13,000 in three tranches from Big Dataworks Sdn Bhd CEO Sheriza Zakaria without consideration, despite knowing the latter had official dealings with him as a public servant.
The offences, under Section 165 of the Penal Code, were alleged to have taken place at several locations around Kota Damansara and Mutiara Damansara between July 2017 and June 2018.
Khuzairi faces up to two years’ imprisonment, a fine, or both, if convicted.
Judge Awang Kerisnada Awang Mahmud allowed deputy public prosecutor Muaz Ahmad Khairuddin’s application to transfer the three charges to the Kuala Lumpur sessions court for trial after Muaz said Khuzairi was charged there yesterday.
