KLANG:
The wife of the victim in the fatal Klang crash on Sunday wants justice to be served for her late husband, Amirul Hafiz Omar, 33, saying she wants “a life for a life”.

Nor Nadia Abdul Majid, 32, arrived at the magistrates’ court here at 9.53am accompanied by lawyer Faizi Che Abu.

“Where is my husband’s killer? I want a life to be repaid with a life,” the mother of three said as she headed into the courtroom.

The driver in his 20s arrived earlier at 8.53am, accompanied by police.

The driver, who was arrested immediately after the crash, was found to have been under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of the incident, according to police.

He was investigated under Section 44(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death while driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Those convicted may face 10 to 15 years in prison and a fine of between RM50,000 and RM100,00.

A dashcam video clip showed a car overtaking in the opposite lane before crashing into Amirul’s motorcycle, sending him flying into the air and landing on top of another vehicle.
