Menteri besar Amirudin Shari says it will focus on aid for vulnerable groups and supporting the state’s industrial sector.

Amirudin said the meeting would focus on aid for vulnerable groups and ensuring effective support for the state’s industrial sector, following the special meeting of menteris besar and chief ministers with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim tomorrow.
“A special task force will be established, with regular meetings to be held to ensure the measures outlined are implemented in an orderly and effective manner,” he said in a Facebook post today.
Amirudin said he convened a special roundtable meeting of the state executive council earlier today to discuss the Middle East war and its impact.
The meeting was attended by heads of several state-owned subsidiaries directly involved in the crisis, as well as experts in economics, geopolitics and energy who presented their analyses and initial projections of the war’s impact.
He said the Selangor government has extensive experience in dealing with major challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic, the major floods in December 2021, and last year’s gas pipeline explosion. - FMT
