
PADANG TERAP: The number of houses damaged by a storm in Felda Lubuk Merbau, Mukim Tekai Kiri, has risen to 35 as of 8am today.
The figure is an increase from the 19 homes reported affected last night.
Padang Terap Civil Defence Force officer Lieutenant Mohd Roshidi Kassim said the 4pm storm yesterday also uprooted two trees, which fell and obstructed local roads.

He said the storm resulted in damage to roofs and houses, but no injuries or fatalities were reported.
"So far, no temporary evacuation centres (PPS) have been opened, as most victims have sought shelter with relatives," he said in a statement today.
Yesterday, it was reported that at least 19 houses in the settlement were hit by the strong winds and heavy rain. - NST
