Kosmo reported that Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department operations assistant director M. Haziq Hazmi said an emergency call was received at 4.13pm, before a response team from the Presint 14 Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the location.
"A man was trapped after a tree fell onto his vehicle. He, however, was successfully rescued by members of the public before the fire department arrived," he said in a statement.
He added that the man received initial treatment at the scene before being sent to Putrajaya Hospital for further examination. He, however, did not suffer serious injuries.
The team also carried out tree removal and road-clearing works using specialised equipment to ensure the area was safe for motorists before reopening the road to traffic. - NST
