THERE ARE plot twists, and then there are cinema-level plot twists. A video clip making the rounds online captures what might be one of the most awkward real-life moments ever witnessed in a movie theatre.
As the film ended and the lights came on, a woman realised her husband was sitting in the very same cinema, but just not with her. Instead, he was there with another woman.
If that wasn’t uncomfortable enough, the story took an even sharper turn. Because she, too, wasn’t alone. To make matters worse, she came along with a lover.
In what feels like a scene straight out of a chaotic comedy, both husband and wife had independently planned their own secret movie dates, with other people, only to unknowingly choose the same cinema, same time, same date.
The video post by netizen @mynewshub showed the couple bashing each other up while a good number of cinema goers watched from the sideline.

Then there was @sekadar_human wondering if anyone was opening bets at the back. Also, netizen @faizke2 believed this was a movie in 6D.
But perhaps the best comment went to @Pis465 and this was what he said:
But when we think about it, why all the rage when everyone cheated on everyone? You can only imagine the expressions.
Shock, confusion, panic and perhaps even a silent mental calculation of how to explain the inexplicable.
Meanwhile, their respective companions were likely left wondering how they had ended up as supporting characters in such a bizarre scenario.
