Maybank has issued a statement on its official social media accounts to inform customers that it’s currently facing intermittent service disruption.

Dear customers, there is currently an intermittent service interruption affecting some of our cards and electronic banking services. Please bear with us as we are in the midst of rectifying the issue. We apologise for the inconvenience caused & thanks for your patience.

Many customers too have posted on Twitter that they are having issues with sending money, for instance, via Instant Transfer, and even receiving Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC).

We tried sending money via Instant Transfer using the Maybank2u website at about 5.50pm and received a “service unavailable” message.

In a reply on Twitter, Maybank has suggested that customers who want to withdraw cash do it via its ATM machines.

Some are even reporting that they are unable to transfer money to a Maybank account from a different bank.
The Star has reached out to Maybank for comments.- Star
