PUTRAJAYA: The MACC have arrested two female enforcement officers as they probe allegations of false claims amounting to RM17,000.
The women, who are attached to a government department based in Negri Sembilan, were arrested on Thursday (March 7).
The two, aged 42 and 38, were detained at around 6pm when they were summoned to the state MACC office to have their statements taken.
Sources said the two suspects allegedly stated that they had received supply or service in 2018 for a programme organised by the department worth RM17,000.
However, no such programme was ever held.
MACC investigators will be taking the two officers to the Seremban Magistrate's court on Friday (March 8) to seek a remand order.
Negri Sembilan MACC director Hairuzam Mohmad Amin @ Hamim confirmed the arrests. - Star
