PAS info chief says he has no knowledge of RM90mil, does not own luxury car

KUANTAN: PAS information chief Nasrudin Hassan says he has been asked by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) about the alleged RM90mil from Umno.
The Islamist party leader said however, he had no information pertaining to the matter and explained to graft investigators that the allegation was slander.
"They asked whether I own luxury cars as alleged by Clare (Rewcastle Brown). I gave a declaration that this is the only car I own," Nasrudin said, pointing to the black Toyota Fortuner he drove to the interview session at the MACC office in Indera Mahkota here Friday (March 8).
Nasrudin said he also stated that those who made the allegations should show evidence.
."If it is merely an allegation in the media just to trigger political perceptions, I consider it as irresponsible. Anyone can do that without any proof and end up burdening the accused to sue them," said Nasrudin.
He said most other questions were on his background, profession, income and purchases.
Nasrudin, who arrived at 10.25am, added that the MACC did not indicate that he would be called back for further questioning.
Also summoned for questioning was Pahang PAS Dewan Ulama chief Mokhtar Senik, who arrived earlier at 9.50am.
Nasrudin and Mokhtar left the MACC office at 1pm.
On Feb 1, PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang opted for an out-of-court settlement with Sarawak Report editor Rewcastle Brown, who he had sued for libel over an article published on Aug 6, 2016, alleging that the party received RM90mil in bribes from Umno.- Star
