Malaysiakini

CORONAVIRUS | Astro Malaysia has closed its Bukit Jalil broadcast centre for two days after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
The digital broadcast service provider said the employee, who works at the outside broadcast (OB Truck) transportation team at the All Asia Broadcast Centre, Bukit Jalil, was diagnosed with coronavirus on April 5.
The employee is receiving medical treatment at a government hospital, Astro said in a statement today.
"We are working to identify those who have come in contact with the employee concerned."As a precautionary measure, our Bukit Jalil broadcast centre will be closed today for full sanitisation and reopens on April 8," said an Astro spokesperson.
The company has cancelled shows with live audience and public events.
It said the teams were splitting across different sites with the significant majority working from home.
"Our broadcast is unimpacted by this development," said Astro. - Mkini
