Follow all SOPs if you must travel from red zones - Health DG

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has urged those travelling across borders from red zones to comply with all standard operating procedures (SOPs).

"For those who want to cross states or districts, they must make sure they are not symptomatic.

"Secondly, they should follow all SOPs, use face masks and frequently wash their hands with soap and water.

"Practice social distancing, avoid crowded, narrow places and avoid holding conversations in close range," Noor Hisham said.

He was speaking at his press conference at the Health Ministry in Putrajaya today, which was also live-streamed as well.

Putrajaya lifted interstate and inter-district travel restrictions on Dec 7 for all areas under the recovery movement control order (MCO) and the conditional MCO.

Domestic tourism is also now allowed in green zones.

However, travel in and out of areas under enhanced MCO is still restricted and is only allowed with police permission for emergencies such as medical treatment or death. - Mkini
