KOTA BARU: Following a second wave of flood in Kelantan this evening, 47 people have been evacuated from two districts, namely Kota Baru and Pasir Putih, that were hit by floods.
The victims, from 11 families, are now seeking shelter at four relief centres in the districts at SK Tiong, SK Melor (both in Kota Baru) and SK Changgal and Dewan Kompleks Kamil (both in Pasir Putih).
State welfare department on its website at 7pm also informed that 43 of the victims were in Kota Baru, with four others in Pasir Putih.
Meanwhile, except for Golok river that is broaching danger level, other rivers in the state are still below alert levels.
As of 7pm, Golok river measured at 8.62m (0.62 above its warning level of 8m). Danger level is measured at 9m. - NST
