Back to the office for Sabah civil servants; only 10pct to work from home

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has instructed its civil servants to return to office following the implementation of Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

State Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said the chiefs of organisations have to ensure that 90 per cent of the civil service be present at their workplaces during office hours.

"Ten per cent of them are allowed to work from home with permission from their organisation chief. The Sabah government once again reminds all civil servants to abide by the existing regulations and standard operating procedures as issued by the Health Ministry and the authorities," he said in a statement.

Today, the state recorded 71 Covid-19 cases with one death each here and in Keningau.

Masidi, who is also state local government and housing minister, added that the Enhanced Movement Control Order at Kampung Tanah Merah in Kota Marudu also ended today.

Sabah also saw 2,520 people receive the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine today, bringing the total gto 12,049 frontaliners having been inoculated in the state. - NST
