The Sabah government announced today that 22,189 civil servants in the state will receive a special Aidilfitri aid of RM500, which will be paid with their salary on May 7.
Chief Minister Hajiji Noor said the aid would be given to all state civil servants on Grade 54 and below, including state statutory authorities, local authorities and daily part-time workers.
He said state government pensioners will receive RM250 under the aid.
“The aid is for state civil service employees who have worked tirelessly in performing their duties and responsibilities to provide service to the public, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic,” he said in a statement in Kota Kinablu today.
