PETALING JAYA: A woman who claimed that her mother was listed as “vaccinated” for Covid-19 on the MySejahtera app despite never having received the jab has clarified the incident was a misunderstanding.
The woman, known as Mrs Gill, has apologised for the misunderstanding.
It was previously reported that Mrs Gill’s mother, a former government nurse, was listed as vaccinated although she was still waiting for an appointment.
She claimed that when she checked her mother’s MySejahtera app, it had issued her a digital vaccination certificate after marking her as having received both of her vaccine doses.
However, it is understood that when a person receives both doses of the vaccine, the markings will turn green, indicating a person has completed the vaccination programme.
Speaking to FMT, Mrs Gill said the health ministry had reached out to her to explain the matter and that she had misunderstood the situation.
“I wish to apologise for the trouble it caused. There was a misunderstanding. A lot of people were inconvenienced and I wish to say sorry to every one of them.
“I would like to thank Mahesh Appannan from the health ministry, who explained what happened and why I misunderstood what I saw. Once again I am so sorry.” - FMT
