Cops identify woman in viral video who blocked road, threw rubbish from car

 

KLUANG: The police have identified the woman who was recorded blocking a road to throw rubbish out of her car near a traffic light here.

Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Low Hang Seng said the incident took place at about 5pm on Friday (April 9) at a traffic light along Jalan Batu Pahat - Mersing.

“We have found the viral video on Facebook and have carried out an investigation after receiving information from the public about a woman who was blocking the road at KM50 of Jalan Batu Pahat - Mersing.

“The woman was later recorded throwing rubbish by another road user, ” he said in a statement here on Saturday (April 10).

He said that a further investigation revealed that the woman suffers from a mental problem and was under medication.

“The woman has been sent to Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom in Kluang for further treatment, ” he said, adding that the woman also has a valid driving license.
