COVID-19 | Today, the Health Ministry reported 1,349 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths.
Sarawak topped the list with 419 fresh infections, the second-highest on record for the state.
Only two other states recorded more than 100 new cases, namely Selangor and Penang with 343 and 185 fresh infections respectively.
The new infections comprised 73.24 percent Malaysians and 26.76 percent non-citizens.
The Klang Valley accounted for 32.1 percent (433 cases) of fresh infections while East Malaysia made up 37.73 percent (509 cases).
New infections also outpaced recoveries of 1,270, leading to an increase in active cases.
The intensive care units also added another 19 patients.

- Intubated: 94
Deaths
There were two new fatalities today, bringing the death toll to 1,288.
The new deaths were recorded in Sarawak and Sabah.
Those who died were aged between 76 and 78.

New cases by states
Clusters
A total of 359 out of 1,405 clusters are still active.
This includes the 10 new clusters reported today as well as another eight that were declared resolved.
Notably, three out of the ten new clusters involve education centres.
The resolved clusters are: Jalan Persiaran Cemerlang, Jalan Perindustrian Estate, Mayang, Jalan Senai Utama, Jalan Persiaran Teknologi Kulai, Tapak Bina Jalil Utama, Jalan Lombong and Jalan Ho Pin.
