SANDAKAN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) arrested a company manager and a civil servant on suspicion of being involved in false claims totalling RM336,000 involving a 1Malaysia mobile clinic.
Sources said the men, both aged 46, were arrested when they came to the Sandakan MACC office yesterday to assist in the investigation.
They are being investigated over false claims in 2019 pertaining to the maintenance of the mobile clinic operating from a boat in Kinabatangan.
The two suspects were later taken to court to be remanded.
Magistrate Wan Farrah Farriza Wan Ghazal allowed MACC to remand the suspects for six days until April 12.
