PETALING JAYA: The live stream of former prime minister Najib Razak’s SRC International appeal was cut off due to an internet disruption, the office of the Federal Court’s chief registrar has clarified.
In a statement today, it said the disruption affected the Palace of Justice and several other government agencies in Putrajaya from 10.30am to noon.
“However, the disruption did not affect the recording of appeal proceedings in open court. All lawyers and prosecutors were still supplied with a soft copy of the recording after proceedings ended,” it said.
Yesterday, it was reported that the live stream of the appeal had been interrupted for over an hour while Najib’s lawyer Muhammad Shafee Abdullah was making a submission on where High Court Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali had erred in his judgment.
Members of the media had not been informed why the transmission was cut, although it resumed an hour later.
Last year, Nazlan found Najib guilty of seven corruption charges involving SRC International funds. - FMT
