KOTA KINABALU: Sabah recorded 197 new Covid-19 cases today, which is the lowest daily figure for the state since June 29.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Masidi Manjun said new infections dropped by more than 90 cases today compared to yesterday.
"Today, there are eight districts with zero Covid-19 cases and 13 districts with less than 10 cases each.
"Several districts have also recorded a significant drop in the number of cases including Kota Kinabalu (-30), Papar (-20), Ranau (-11), Putatan (-19) and Tenom (-7)," he said in a statement.
As for the cases today, Masidi said 194 are in Categories 1 and 2, one patient in Category 4, while two cases are still being evaluated.
Those infected are 43 children under 12; 17 unvaccinated; two partially vaccinated; 131 fully vaccinated; and four people who have had their booster shots.
The infectivity rate for Sabah stood at 0.87 since yesterday. -NST
