To The KSN, IGP, MACC, Speaker, Chairmen & CEOs of GLCs, Govt Agencies, All Civil Servants Etc : What Najib's Conviction Should Mean To You

Preamble : I have two theories here that are entirely plausible. One is the Ismail Sabri Theory (well actually it is not a theory I think it is already happening). The other is the Najib Theory). They appear at the end of this post.

First of all I have received the following via Whatsapp. I believe it is viral and many people have seen these pictures. These people were the Board Members, Investment Panel members etc of that government company where the thievery took place.

I also received the following which appears to be some document from the same company. It shows one of the Board members signing off on that ill fated loan.

What I find perplexing is that it says the RM2 billion loan can be given to "either 1MDB or to SRC".

How is that possible? Dont you need separate loan applications for different companies? Regardless that both 1MDB and SRC were government owned but surely their businesses, their debt equity, their cashflows, their requirements would all be different.

Imagine a bank approving ONE housing loan but for two different people :  "We approve this housing loan of RM800,000 to either Mr Lim or his neighbour Encik Amri".

This way also can, that way also can.

The text that came with the pictures said :  The above are the gang that approved that silly RM4b loan to SRC. Public needs to be reminded of these sycophants. The team that allowed the convicted Najib to steal RM4bil of K__P money. They obediently approved the request by Najib, and approval via circular resolution. CURRENT At...y G.....l, Chairman of B--sa, Board member K------h, J--- R---, ex B-M g---nor and I--n S--igala were/are yesman. They should be sent to Sg B---h!

The question is why did all these high flying, extremely highly paid individuals who held such high posts in a GLC agree to be a party to something that was so obviously not right? Why did they toss all their fiduciary prudence and professional judgement (ha ha ha) to the winds?

The answer is really very simple : At that time they never expected that UMNO would lose the elections and be kicked out of office or that the Barisan Nasional would lose its perch at the top of the ladder. They thought the sun would never set on the UMNO Empire. That is why they became party to the wrong doing.

Now in three years we have seen FOUR prime ministers and THREE (maybe FOUR) changes in Government. And we seriously do not know who will be the Prime Minister or the Government seven months from now (or max 12 months from now). The political landscape of the country has changed completely.

With the appearance of such pictures plus all the free publicity it looks like they are being tarred and feathered in public.

(Tarring and feathering :  A form of public torture and punishment used to enforce unofficial justice or revenge. It was used in feudal Europe and its colonies in the early modern period, as well as the early American frontier, mostly as a type of mob vengeance. The victim would be stripped naked, or stripped to the waist. Wood tar (sometimes hot) was then either poured or painted onto the person while they were immobilized. Then the victim either had feathers thrown on them or was rolled around on a pile of feathers so that they stuck to the tar.  The image of a tarred-and-feathered outlaw remains a metaphor for severe public criticism).

Sometime early last week there was the news in Free Malaysia Today referring a story in RPK's Malaysia Today which had exposed a 14 page investigation report (Confidential) by the MACC which had named those two infamous ex-Bank Negara Malaysia people (one a female and the other a male) and another Chinaman banker (who was a crony or lackey of the same ex-BNM male) over their roles in the whole 1MDB scandal.

We all know about the ex-BNM female's husband and the RM65 million he kept in Singapore. The ex-BNM male had stashed away RM85 million in a proxy account also in Singapore. (Deyy! Now everyone knows what you did last summer! This is as per that "leaked" MACC report that was published by RPK in Malaysia Today. Singapore has long been a money laundering center for Asia and the world.

Here is the interesting part : The MACC has not denied that the leaked 14 page investigation report is indeed from them. Meaning the leaked MACC report is authentic. The ex-BNM male did stash away RM85 million of 1MDB money in a proxy account in Singapore.

Question no 1 (relevant to today's post) : Who and why leaked that MACC report to Raja Petra Kamaruddin of Malaysia Today? And the timing - why now? Najib is already history. So why start barbecuing all the supporting actors and supporting actresses who made this biggest theft of public funds possible? Why expose them now? Do read on.

So first that MACC investigation report is leaked on Malaysia Today which fingers that ex-BNM woman, that ex-BNM fellow and that ex-banker. Then these pictures above start going around - which finger more supporting actors and actresses who danced around the fire that night.

First they make you dance around the fire.
Then they will throw you into the fire.

Here is my advise to all those Civil Servants, GLC folks, supporting actors and actresses who also stole the taxpayers money from this 1MDB and TIA scandals - go and talk to your lawyers now. Not your divorce lawyer, not your civil cases lawyer nor your sharia lawyer.  Nope. Go and talk to a really good criminal lawyer.  Avoid that stupid lawyer who has helped create the National Embarrassment. Cakap besar but the guy is an idiot.   Talk to a good criminal lawyer and confess your crimes now. Get legal advice quickly.

If you did the crime, then you will do the time. You will go to jail.

Unless you make a deal NOW.  Return the money you stole. Divulge full information - names, places, dates, what exactly you did, how you did the crime and the why? Full return of stolen money, full disclosure of all your crimes in exchange for some acceptable deal. This is Malaysia. Can talk. Go and talk now.  Do not wait until the last minute - when someone comes knocking on your door. Then that will be too late.

The Ismail Sabri theory

In short, Ismail Sabri was (and still is) a lightweight in Umno. Even after he became PM he visited Najib to get advice. But now with Najib being convicted by the Court of Appeal it looks like Ismail Sabri may not need any more advice from Najib. He certainly does not need Zahid Hamidi either. Zahid's judgement day is next month - January 2022.

After being PM for just over 100 days, Ismail Sabri is learning to like the job. Talk is he would like to remain in the job. This also means (with Najib and Zahid out of the way) that Ismail Sabri can make a shot at becoming president of UMNO.  There are very few competitors. Only Mohamed Hassan is any serious threat for the party president's post.

Sadly for Ismail Sabri he does not have any achievement in UMNO or in Government which he can rely upon to propel himself as party president and even as Prime Minister. Ismail Sabri does not have much to crow about.

(Brother Ismail, whoever gave you that silly idea about that "30% bumi retailers in the shopping mall" is going to cause you kemaluan besar again - just like Low Yat 2. Have you forgotten that really silly Low Yat 2 idea? Now you want to make Low Yat 3?)

This is where throwing some of the supporting actors and supporting actresses in the 1MDB scandal into the fire may help boost the image of any wannabe prime minister or wannabe Umno president. For example Puad Zarkashi  appears to be going all out to expose the "other players involved" in the 1MDB scandal.

Exposing the other supporting actors in the 1MDB scandal will certainly help deflect blame away from UMNO.

Najib has already sworn (again) in the name of his god 'I did not do it'. Meaning someone else did it. Not him.

This is a signal to Umno to go out and expose as many of the 'someone else' as they can find.  Like I said, first they ask you to dance around the fire. Then after that they will throw you into the fire.

The Najib Theory

I believe that Najib is still pondering my earlier advice to him - to plead guilty. Najib will first exhaust all his legal rights - including the appeal to the Federal Court. If the Federal Court upholds the conviction Najib still has one more option. He can still plead guilty. Under the law a convicted person can change his plea at any time - even after being convicted and he is thrown into jail.

Therefore Najib can still change his plea to guilty provided he can make a deal. Return all the money that he took. All of it. And divulge full details, names, places, dates, bank accounts, amounts, parties involved in the 1MDB scandal.  Fully spill the beans so that the Law can bring to book ALL the culprits who were involved in the 1MDB scandal. In exchange for some lesser punishment.

This is not impossible. Twelve years in jail? Najib Razak may not even survive 12 months inside jail. So if Najib changes his plea to guilty, returns all the money he took and spills the beans in exchange for some deal then more of the supporting actors and actresses in the 1MDB scandal will fry. You will be thrown into the fire.

So let this be a lesson for ALL other top Civil Servants, the GLC people etc who are in power today. Be extremely very careful when the politicians ask you to kiss their butts, when they offer you kueh, biskut, karipap etc. Keep this in mind - you do not know who will be Prime Minister next year. Or who will be the government.

Do not be idiots when they ask you to dance around the fire like wild savages. You may think you are having a jolly good time. The day will come when these same people will not hesitate to throw you into the fire.  Dont be stupid.

This is what is happening now already.
