National shuttler Lee Zii Jia clinched the Badminton Asia Championships singles title after beating Indonesia's Jonatan Christie.
Lee defeated his Indonesian counterpart in a straight-set 27-17, 23-21 which took around 45 minutes, according to Bernama.
The final, played in Manila in the Philippines, saw Lee kicking off the first set with a strong performance.
Jonatan put up a valiant attempt at a comeback in the second set but was unable to overcome Lee.
Meanwhile, national men's double pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik fell to Indonesian pair Pramudya Kusumawardana-Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan.
They were defeated in a straight-set 21-23, 10-21 which lasted 52 minutes.
The Malaysian pair came in as runners-up for the seventh time in a major tournament since they were paired together in 2017. - Mkini
