Sabah BN was weighing its options on ties with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), said its chief Bung Moktar Radin.
“This direction (that we choose will) ensure that BN will not be cheated again,” said Bung Moktar (above) at the Sabah BN convention in Penampang today, according to The Star.
“We do not wish to be in the same position where BN 'befriends' other parties only to be treated with insincerity,” he said.
On PBS’ criticism of Sabah BN’s past policies, Bung Moktar said PBS has proven to be an untrustworthy ally and promised to expose their wrongdoings.
“PBS president, don’t try to play with fire. Be a respectful friend if you want to be friends because Umno has never betrayed its friend.
“PBS has betrayed BN so many times. Even with one seat in Parliament, they get a full minister’s post.
“I have not exposed the things PBS did to destroy Sabah. Wait and see when elections draw nearer,” said Bung Moktar, while warning PBS president Maximus Ongkili that the latter has chosen the wrong enemy.
“He thinks he can threaten me. He better apologise,” said Bung Moktar.
Bung Moktar was responding to Maximus’ speech during his party’s annual delegates meeting on Thursday, where the latter accused a “BN party” of being responsible for a citizenship-for-votes scheme. - Mkini
