A PKR vice-president candidate has urged the party's international election committee to explain why a forensic audit on the voting process was only limited to in-person voting.
Speaking to Malaysiakini, Farhash Wafa Salvador (above) said the forensic audit should cover the online voting process as well in order for a thorough investigation.
"How sure are we that there are no irregularities with the online vote? The committee should answer," he said.
Yesterday, Malaysiakini, citing sources, reported that the forensic audit had found some irregularities in the voting process which was carried out in May.
Sources said the party leadership was considering several options on the way forward.
The party is expected to announce the election result during their annual delegates meeting in two weeks.
PKR is the only party in the country which has a one-person-one-vote system to determine the top six positions.
In-person voting is conducted with tablet computers while party members can also choose to vote using a smartphone application. - Mkini
