PAS has agreed in principle to use a new Perikatan Nasional logo for the next general election.
Speaking to reporters in Marang, Terengganu today, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang said the matter will be discussed further with Bersatu soon.
Hadi said although PAS will be using PN's logo for the next general election, it did not mean that PAS was rejecting Muafakat Nasional.
"Muafakat will continue. PAS will not sway from its agenda to unite the ummah. The (new) logo will be discussed later with everyone, including Muafakat and PN," he said, according to Astro Awani.
Hadi's response put to rest talk that PAS might use its own logo in Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah for the election.
The PN supreme council has mulled changing the coalition's logo by adding "improvements".
The logo made its debut during the Sabah election in 2020 where PN fared very well. The reverse was during the 2021 Malacca election and the recent Johor election.
Despite being committed to PN, PAS was still hoping to keep the Muafakat Nasional alliance with Umno alive.
Umno has repeatedly stated that it will not work with Bersatu in any elections.- Mkini
