Where Does Religion Come From? Whose Religion? Ha ha ha.

 

Here is a quickie.

Over the past years (over 35 years) I have read some about the Jewish religion. Its a lot to wrap around. Its not just one word Judaism. They have the Torah (the Five Books of Moses), Talmud, the Mishnah, the Gemarrah, the rabbinical writings, the mitzvahs, the chabad, the cabala, bla bla.

Chabad, also known as Lubavitch, Habad and Chabad-Lubavitch[2] (Hebrew: חב"ד), is an Orthodox Jewish Hasidic dynasty. Chabad is one of the world's best-known Hasidic movements, particularly for its outreach activities. It is one of the largest Hasidic groups[3] and Jewish religious organizations in the world. 

So a discussion among the Chabad may go like this :

5. The Romans Breached Jerusalem on This Day

In 69 CE, the Roman destroyers breached the walls of Jerusalem and began a period of burning, looting, murder, and mayhem, which culminated with the Temple complex burning on 9 Av, three weeks later.

6. It May Also Be When the Babylonians Broke Through

The prophet Jeremiah tells us that the Babylonians broke the walls of Jerusalem on 9 Tammuz (in 423 BCE). The Jerusalem Talmud and other sources maintain that the 17th of Tammuz was the date that the Babylonians breached the walls of Jerusalem on their way to destroy the first Temple.

How can both be true? The Talmud explains that due to the intense suffering and chaos that reigned at that time, the people became confused and Jeremiah actually recorded the wrong date. 

So they do not really know who destroyed the 1st Jewish Temple.

Was it the Romans in 69 CE? Or was it the Babylonians in 423 BCE? Or the Prophet Jeremiah made a mistake in recording not only the wrong date but the wrong people (Babylonians instead of Romans).

Who are the inheritors of the Jewish religion today?

The Jews? The Christians? Anyone else?

What did the Rasul tell the Muslims:

Sura 2:120  The Yahood and the Nazarenes will never be satisfied with you, until you follow their way. Tell them plainly, “The right way is shown by Allah.” And if, after all the’ knowledge you have received, you were to yield to their desires, you shall find neither any friend nor helper to protect you from Allah’s wrath.

Surah 3:100 O ye who believe! If ye listen to a faction among the People of the Book, they would (indeed) render you KAFIR after ye have believed!

This is what the Rasul taught us in the Quran.  You follow the Yahood then be prepared to be a KAFIR.
