COVID-19 | The Health Ministry said 4,684 new Covid-19 cases were reported yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,705,824.
Active cases currently stood at 46,904, down 2.7 percent compared to 14 days ago.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Another 11 deaths attributed to Covid-19 were reported yesterday, of which one was declared as "brought in dead".
Over the past week, an average of 8.6 people were reported to have died of Covid-19 each day, while the average for the past 30 days was 7.5, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the uptrend.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, a total of 36,020 deaths have been attributed to Covid-19.
There have been 51 reported Covid-19 deaths so far this month. For comparison, there were 204 deaths last month and 89 deaths in June.
The state with the highest death was Johor (5) followed by Selangor (5) and Penang (1).
There are 1,556 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised, of which 56 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (130), followed by Sabah (83) and Johor (62). - Mkini
