At 3700 tons the LCS is actually a corvette - a small ship. The Egyptians bought the same boat, they call it a corvette. Even the manufacturer called it a corvette.
Anyway Super Moron said that the launching of the "empty-shell" (44% completed) LCS in Lumut was the same as the launching of the LMS in Shanghai.
Someone should tell the super moron that you only launch a ship once, not twice. Once you name a ship during the "launching" there is no more 'launching' after that.
It goes without saying that after the launching the ship will still need fitting out (weapons, electronics, radar, crews quarters, supplies, fuel). Once that is done there will be sea trials. The ship does NOT belong to the Navy yet. It is still owned by the shipbuilder. If the sea trials are all good the ship will then be officially accepted and commissioned by the customer - the Navy.
Where is that LCS now? According to this video it has become besi tua.
In stark contrast the LMS that was launched in Shanghai has long ago already passed all sea trials and has been commissioned and joined our Navy. It is not a besi tua or a besi karat. That is a huge difference.
