KUALA LUMPUR: The health ministry has advised the public, especially frontliners and other high-risk groups, to get a booster dose of the Covid-19 vaccine following the latest developments on the pandemic in China.
Taking to Facebook, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said although Covid-19 cases in Malaysia were currently under control and decreasing, precautions must be taken.
On Tuesday, Noor Hisham said the ministry was increasing preparations to face the possibility of increased cases and deaths following a drastic jump in Covid-19 cases in China.
Among the steps to be taken was to increase the percentage of individuals eligible to receive booster doses to reduce the spread of infection and deaths, he said. - FMT
