PETALING JAYA: Works minister Alexander Nanta Linggi has ordered the construction of a detour route following a landslide that affected the road in Felda Kepis, near Kuala Pilah.
He said work on the gravel pavement would start tomorrow as an alternative road for nearby residents to use.
“All officials involved are reminded to help speed up road repair efforts for the sake of the people,” he said in a Facebook post.
Nanta said a survey and visual inspection by the public works department found that the landslide had affected the FT 1275 route at Section 2.7, Jalan Felda Kepis.
The affected section stretches 30m, with an estimated depth of 10m.
Following this, the route has been closed from the junction at Juasseh, Senaling, to the junction at Perkampungan Felda Kepis.
He said survey works and site investigation will be carried out soon and instructions issued to the contractor by the end of this year. Construction work will begin in early January and will take about six months. - FMT
