KOTA KINABALU: The cabinet's decision today to transfer the regulatory power of gas supply in Sabah to the state government is one step towards realising the aspirations, desires and dreams of the people in the state, said Warisan.
Party president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal expressed hope that the good news announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim would be followed by the implementation of the 21 issues presented by the Sabah and Sarawak governments.
They were presented at the Special Cabinet Committee Meeting to review the Malaysia Agreement 1963's (MA63) implementation during the previous Pakatan Harapan (PH) government.
Shafie said 17 out of 21 issues had been mutually agreed upon between the previous PH federal government and the Sabah and Sarawak governments.
Four other issues that have not yet been finalised are the oil royalties and petroleum cash payments, oil minerals and oil fields, the Territorial Sea Act 2012 [Act 750] and state rights over the continental shelf. - NST
