My Comments:
I really cannot comment about these charges against Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Wan Saiful Wan Jan or the other two people who have been charged thus far. All are leaders of Bersatu.
But this is a simple and clear cut case of what will happen when the politicians can no more be assured of being permanently in power.
Gone are the days where Dr Mahathir was 22 years in power or UMNO was 62 years in power. That is history. In five years (since 2018) we have had FIVE prime ministers. An average of one prime minister a year. The average political life span of a prime minister has been drastically reduced.
And once again we are seeing a new administration digging up dirt on the previous administration and charging them in Court. We will see if the dirt sticks - like it did for Najib and gang.
Just like a wash and rinse cycle at the laundromat (kedai dobi) this seems to indicate the beginnings of a new "wash and rinse cycle" in the country's politics.
So I have two pieces of advise to the politicians - firstly as long as you are in power make sure you keep your nose clean. Only then if there is a change in government and the new government tries to throw dirt on you, then the dirt will not stick on you.
Secondly (this is the not so good option) try to remain in power as long as you can because once you lose your perch the next fellow will come for you. That is also known as riding tigers.
Once you decide to ride tigers you cannot get off because the tiger will turn around and swallow you up. Like this Korean guy in the picture here:
