PETALING JAYA: There is no official letter or circular barring Kedah menteri besar Sanusi Nor from attending events organised by the federal government, says deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
“I have not heard of any instructions barring him from attending any official event organised by the federal government unless this was told to him personally,” Bernama quoted Zahid as saying.
“There is no circular (to that effect). If his allegations are true, he should make public the instruction or circular he received that bars him from attending official government events.”
Zahid was speaking to reporters after an event in Masjid Jamek Sungai Gersik, Muar, Johor.
Yesterday, Sanusi claimed that he had been barred from attending events organised by the federal government, including the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition (Lima) in May.
“The 10th prime minister’s latest Cabinet decision: barring the Kedah menteri besar from any federal government event, including Lima in Langkawi.
“What to do?” Sanusi said in a Facebook post, without elaborating. - FMT
