KUALA LUMPUR: Stern action awaits those who issue statements that offend racial and religious sensitivities, say police.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said they were monitoring the situation closely and would not hesitate to take action against those who threaten security and public order.
"Rest assured, the current security level remains controlled and we are committed to ensuring continuous law enforcement.
"This is to ensure that the safety of all is guaranteed," he said in a statement on Friday (March 17).
"The public is advised against making or sharing statements that could threaten peace or cause public anxiety.
"Those who have any information on such acts can immediately go to the nearest police station to channel the information for further action," he added. - Star
