Wan Rosdy leading in Umno vice-presidency race

 

Pahang Umno liaison chief Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail is so far leading the race for the three vice-presidency positions in the party’s election.

As of 5pm, Wan Rosdy (above) is leading with eight divisional votes.

He is followed closely by incumbent Mohamed Khaled Nordin with seven votes and another challenger Johari Abdul Ghani, who has six votes thus far.

Other candidates Reezal Merican Naina Merican and Hasni Mohammad have five votes and one vote respectively.

Azalina Othman Said, who is the only woman in the running for the position, has received four votes.

Meanwhile, six of the 25 candidates vying for positions in the Umno supreme working council are leading with six votes each.

The six are Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Ahmad Maslan, Shamsul Anuar Nasarah, Shaik Hussein Mydin, Zambry Abdul Kadir, and Abdul Aziz Abdul Rahman.

With five votes each are Bung Moktar Radin, Azian Osman, Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman, Mohamad Fatmi Che Salleh, and Shahaniza Shamsudin.

Isham Jalil, Mohd Sharkar Shamsuddin, Lokman Nor Adam, Mohd Puad Zarkashi, Abdul Rahman Mohamad, Ahmad Jazlan Yaakub, Ahmad Said, Mohd Razlan Rafii, and Mohd Shafie Abdullah have four votes each.

Jalaluddin Alias, Alwi Che Ahmad, Johan Abdul Aziz, Zakaria Dullah, and Abdul Rahman Dahlan have garnered three votes each. - Mkini
