KUALA LUMPUR: A clip showing a student being assaulted by his schoolmates has gone viral on social media.
The 45-second video, uploaded by @jnmalaysia Twitter showed a student, in sports attire, being assaulted by several students while others stood watch and cheered on.
The victim tried to fight back but was overwhelmed with the attackers.
He was also heard sobbing after getting kicked on the back of his head during the commotion.
The video garnered close to 60,000 views.
The uploader of the video believed the incident took place somewhere in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak.
Meanwhile, netizens have called on the authorities to take action on the incident.
@Nazrieahmat8 said "Arrest them, teach the naughty boys a lesson".
@serumidea also supported the call for the police to arrest the attackers.
"They do not look like they have any future, a waste of life.
"They are of no use for the next generation," he added. - NST
