KLUANG: A woman was killed and five others injured in an accident between a van and a lorry at KM55.1 of the North-South Expressway northbound early this morning.
Renggam fire and rescue station operations commander Shoromi Salih said five personnel and a fire and rescue vehicle were dispatched and arrived at the scene at 12.54am.
“The driver of the Toyota van, a woman, was trapped in the driver’s section and confirmed dead at the scene,” he said in a statement.
The van’s five passengers, including three children and a disabled man, were injured and removed from the vehicle by members of the public before the firefighters arrived.
Shoromi said the male driver of the Isuzu lorry was reported to be safe and uninjured. - FMT
