THERE are many good reasons why Malaysia ranks at the top as the most obese nation in South East Asia.
And among these reasons is a video post that has been gaining attention on X, showcasing a drink claimed to be popular during the fasting month.
According to the post, the concoction comes loaded with a generous helping of ice cream, Oreo, Biscoff powder, condensed milk and, because apparently things were not fattening enough, cheese.
The combination has caught the attention of Malaysians online, with many wondering whether they are looking at a drink, a dessert or a full-blown sugar endurance challenge.
There is ice cream for the creamy factor, Oreo for the chocolate-and-cookie hit, Biscoff powder for another layer of sweetness, condensed milk to make sure the sugar levels do not get any ideas about staying reasonable, and cheese for, well, cheese.
It is the kind of drink that makes you wonder whether the person who invented it started with a recipe or simply opened the pantry and said, “Let’s see what happens.”
Netizens have much to say about this diabetes inducing drink too. With all those ingredients and saturation, netizen @hppydprss thinks this drink could have been a cake instead.

Also, @Carlssz1 believes these consumers are the ones who will blame the hospital when bad things happen to them.

“Please do not viral such unhealthy stuff,” @milomosh123 warned.

Then there was @maxsastro who believes that there should be a limit to sweetness.
Check out this picture comment from @theiceraf, hinting at the fact that the consumer will soon have to cut his leg off when he gets diabetes.

To be fair, Malaysia has never been shy about taking food to the next level.
We have Milo dinosaur, cheese naan, loaded fries and countless other creations that seem to operate on the principle that if one ingredient tastes good, adding three more probably makes it better.
This drink appears to have taken that philosophy and gone straight for the championship belt.
Perhaps the only real question left is whether the drink comes only with a straw.
Because with this many toppings, you may need a spoon, fork and possibly some medication to control your blood sugar level.— Focus Malaysia
