EPF becomes substantial shareholder in Eco-Sho

 The retirement fund now holds a 5.144% direct stake in the retailer.

EPF acquired 8.68 million ordinary shares in Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd on Aug 27, taking its total shareholding in the company to 296.16 million.

The Employees Provident Fund has become a substantial shareholder in Eco-Shop Marketing Bhd after acquiring 8.68 million ordinary shares on Aug 27.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the company said the retirement fund’s direct interest now stands at 296.16 million shares, representing a 5.144% stake in the company.

The total stake percentage was calculated based on Eco-Shop Marketing’s issued share capital of 5.76 billion ordinary shares as of Aug 27. - FMT
