“Baju-T baharu saya dicetak esok. Siapa nak DM.
- FMT

KUALA LUMPUR: The information chiefs of 11 Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) divisions located in the southern part of Johor have proposed for the 15th General Election (GE15) to be held simultaneously with the upcoming Johor state polls.
By doing so, they said it will avoid wastage of tax payers' money.
"The action by Umno to dissolve the Johor State Legislative Assembly which will pave the way for the state election during a time when the people are still reeling from aftermath of the recent floods and impacts unleashed by the Covid-19 pandemic showed that the party does not care at all about the people," they said in a joint statement today.
The statement was jointly issued by the information chiefs of Bersatu divisions in Mersing, Johor Baru, Pulai, Iskandar Puteri, Pontian, Muar, Parit Sulong, Tanjung Piai, Kulai, Pasir Gudang and Kota Tinggi.
"We urged Umno to stop bullying component parties in Perikatan Nasional (PN) by holding the state election in Johor just because of power," the statement said.
They also condemned the action by two Bersatu leaders, who quit the party after the state assembly was dissolved.
They described that action by Mazlan Bujang and Datuk Mohd Izhar Ahmad as undignified and done without integrity.
"Their departure has helped Johor Bersatu to become more spirited to face the state election since there are no longer 'duri dalam daging' (thorn in the flesh) with the party."
Before the dissolution of the state assembly, Mazlan and Izhar were the Puteri Wangsa and Larkin state assemblymen respectively.
Last Thursday, Mazlan, who is also a state executive councillor, had announced that he alongside 22 committee members of the Tebrau Bersatu division were quitting the party.
Few days after that, Izhar followed in Mazlan's footsteps citing a loss of trust in Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
The 11 information chiefs also endorsed the resolution reached between Bersatu and Pas after a two-day muzakarah to enter the upcoming Johor polls under the PN banner for the unity of "ummah". - NST
KUALA LUMPUR: The RM1 transaction charge for withdrawal through the automatic teller machines (ATMs) will be re-instated on customers effective tomorrow.
Several banks including Maybank, Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd, CIMB Bank, RHB Bank, Citibank and HSBC posted a notice to the effect on their social media platforms since mid-December last year.
A social media notification saw Maybank stating that from Feb 1, interbank cash withdrawal transaction charges at ATMs will be re-implemented.
"Maybank customers can still withdraw cash free of charge at Maybank ATMs," the bank said.
CIMB in a posting said: "Dear Customers, effective Feb 1, 2022, an RM1 transaction charge will be levied on interbank cash withdrawals for transactions made at non-CIMB Bank/CIMB Islamic ATMs/vending machines."
Bank Islam said: "For Bank Islam cardholders, there is no charge for withdrawals using Bank Islam ATMs."
On the social media platform, consumers responded with some saying that the RM1 charge would cause people to return to long queues at ATMs at their respective banking facilities.
Some also criticised the bank as stingy for not being able to absorb the RM1 charge.
"Even the bank can't absorb the cost. It's stingy," said one Twitter user.
The government introduced an exemption to the transaction on the MEPS system on April 6, 2020.
The move was to enable the public to withdraw cash from ATMs that share the MEPS system during the movement control order period without having to be charged RM1.
RM1 charge is imposed by Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) to customers.
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is the largest shareholder in PayNet, while the remaining shares are controlled by a consortium of 11 banks. - NST
Chicken and egg prices will be fixed for the period of February 5 until June 5. — Picture by Yusof Mat Isa
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 31 — The National Action Council on Cost of Living (NACCOL) that met today set RM8.90 as the maximum price for standard chicken, 20 sen cheaper than the fixed ceiling price of RM9.10.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, who chaired the meeting, also said the price of chicken eggs for all grades will remain the same as currently set under the Keluarga Malaysia Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMKM).
Both will take effect from February 5 until June 5, he said.
"The government will provide subsidies to ensure the price of items can be controlled such as SHMKM and details on the subsidies will be carried out by a cost of living task force headed by the Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAFI) as well as several other ministries, representatives of government-linked companies and consumer bodies until prices stabilise,” he said in a statement here today.
Ismail Sabri said besides this, import permits for whole chicken is now open to all chicken importers with approved permits (AP) compared to before this when the import of only chicken parts such as wings, thigh and others was permitted. — Bernama
More than 200 homes were affected by the sudden thunderstorm. (Facebook pic)
PETALING JAYA: The thunderstorm that hit several areas in the Kinta district, Perak, and damaged hundreds of homes is due to a formation of a very small but strong thunderstorm cloud, says the meteorological department (MetMalaysia).
It said the thunderstorm was considered a localised incident and increased in intensity very quickly. As such, it was hard to forecast.
“MetMalaysia had released a thunderstorm warning for the thunderstorm incident as well as heavy rain and strong winds involving Perak at 3.40pm on Jan 30.
“The warning was updated at 6.55pm and 7.55pm, involving several districts in Perak, based on the latest information and weather analysis. It was disseminated through several official MetMalaysia mediums,” it said in a statement.
It also said, based on radar and satellite imaging, a few small rain clouds began to form at 5.50pm yesterday.
“The clouds did not develop significantly but the rain clouds in Kinta district increased in intensity in a very short period of time between 6.20pm and 6.40pm,” it said.
It was reported that hundreds of homes were damaged during a tornado-like freak storm in several villages at about 6pm yesterday.
This left most of the Chinese residents in Kampung Tawas, who will be celebrating Chinese New Year tomorrow, in despair.
Perak menteri besar Saarani Mohamad said each household affected by the freak storm would receive financial assistance of RM1,300.
He said the storm, which struck at 6pm, damaged 219 houses in Taman Desa Seri Chepor, Kampung Tawas, Taman Tasek Damai and Kampung Seri Klebang Tambahan Jaya . - FMT
taukeh AP letak harga ayam RM8366 /tan pengimpot lain boleh impot pada harga RM5435 /tan Taukeh AP buat untung (8366-5435) =RM2931 setiap tan
32 syarikat dapat AP impot ayam
Mydin Hypermart kecewa tidak dapat AP
Tesco pun tak dapat AP
Jika Mydin/Tesco dapat impot harga ayam turun
taukeh AP/orang tengah letak harga tinggi
Jab Veterinar keluarkan AP Jab Veterinar / JAKIM letak syarat lain pula
fix price RM 9.30/kg, control imports through APs, import licenses
distorting market to grave determent of consumers
Malaysia’s annual chicken consumption 50 kg per person 1.62 million tonnes consumption per annum of which 98.4% by domestic producers Malaysia supplies 37% of Singapore needs 25 major producers in Malaysia
pandemic caused 30% rise in cost of production
Corn, soyabean prices risen
weak Ringgit, hike in shipping costs, supply chain disruptions
Price Control RM 8.00 wholesale, RM 9.30 retail squeezing margins Many producers suffering heavy financial losses some producers switched to value-added chicken products to escape price control
32 companies granted APs
Jab Veterinar responsible for APs
Mydin Hypermart disappointed no retailers granted import permits
Tesco also didn’t get a permit
Granting import permits directly to retailers reduce prices
rather than going through wholesalers, apply own margins
AP holders buy at USD2,000 / MT importers able to source chickens for USD1,300 / MT
These savings could reduce market prices over festive season DVS / JAKIM specify other conditions consumers financially stressed, chronic chicken shortages
Malaysia global Corruption Index dropped 5 positions this year
Jadi amat jelas, terang dan tersuluh bahawa selain kenaikan kos makanan ayam dan shipping costs naik akibat COVID, harga ayam naik lagi disebabkan taukeh AP impot ayam yang sangat sikit bilangan mereka (32 orang saja taukeh AP ayam) naikkan harga ayam impot.
Harga taukeh AP adalah RM8.36 satu kilo ayam impot.
Harga impot (sebenarnya) boleh sampai RM5.43 satu kilo sahaja.
Jadi taukeh AP dapat untung atas angin = RM2.93 setiap kilo ayam impot.
Soalan saya simple saja Tuan-Tuan.
Bilangan penduduk negara melebihi 32 JUTA manusia.
Pemegang AP impot ayam pula hanya 32 syarikat.
Fuiyyo. 32 syarikat AP tentukan duit pasar 32 JUTA penduduk.
Tetapi the reality is, Tuan-Tuan bukan kaum elit. Tuan-Tuan hanya rakyat marhaen yang haprak.
Hanya kaum elit layak jadi kaya.
Tuan-Tuan yang haprak pula hanya layak jadi bodoh.
Tahun demi tahun, dekad demi dekad, abad demi abad Tuan-Tuan hanya layak jadi bodoh.
I have a suggestion. Saya ada cadangan Tuan-Tuan.
Tuan-Tuan tahu tak lagu World Cup Football :
Ole, ole, ole, ole
We are the champs. We are the champs
Ole, ole, ole, ole
We are the champs. We are the champs.
Bodoh, bodoh, bodoh, bodoh
Kita lah champion. Kita lah champion.
Bodoh, bodoh, bodoh, bodoh
Kita lah champion. Kita lah champion.
