A news report stated that he would hold a wedding reception after undergoing a closed-door nuptial ceremony to be officiated by Sarawak mufti Kipli Yassin, here today.
"We have to wait. Let the chief minister make an official announcement," said Taib's press secretary, Amin Sahmat when contacted by Bernama.
Speculation on his marital status has been rife ever since his Polish-born wife Laila Taib died of cancer in April last year after 50 years of marriage.
They have four children and 15 grandchildren.
