Selangor Umno today denied accusations by the PKR-led government in Selangor that it was behind the publication of the Selangor Terkini newsletter.
Selangor Umno information chief Abdul Shukor Idrus , who is also the assemblyman for Kuang, however, said it had distributed the publication at an event it organised after finding the newsletter, copies of which were placed at Selangor Umno office’s doorstep, to be in sync with Umno’s struggle.
“So what’s wrong with that, better than to leave them lying around,” he said when contacted by Bernama here today.
The Selangor mentri besar’s political secretary Faekah Husin told a press conference here today that the Selangor government had lodged a police report on the distribution of the newsletter on January 17 for unauthorised use of its official logo.
She alleged that Selangor Umno was behind the publication and distribution of the newsletter. — Bernama
